Fauves are an indie-pop band from Glasgow, Scotland, who blend elements of funk, soul and jazz throughout their music. They are recognizable for their unique sound and artworks, taking their name from Fauvism, an early 20th Century French art movement which utilized vibrant colours and shapes.

Fauves have been likened to MGMT and Metronomy by BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway, with the band citing everything from disco records and the smooth yacht rock of Steely Dan, through to 90’s hip hop and R&B, as well as Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra amongst their influences.

The group have gigged around the UK building a reputation as a bouncing live act, yet sonically incomparable to many of their peers in Glasgow’s music scene. They ventured off on their first headline UK tour in Spring of 2019, and opened the run of gigs with a memorable sold out debut English show at London's Sebright Arms, with other packed out shows all over the UK, culminating in a sold out show at Glasgow’s 400 Cap G2 venue.

Throughout 2019, they’ve taken to the stage at a number of major, tastemaking festivals including Tramlines, Playground festival, xPo North, Outwith and Indian Summer, sharing the stage with the likes of Lauryn Hill, Courtney Barnett, De La Soul, Baxter Dury, The Babe Rainbow and Annie Mac, and most recently sold out their second London date at The Finsbury at the beginning of October.
